Bio
My name is Alex Valenti. I live in the UK, and I have been playing drums since 2004. I studied drums at the London College of Music and graduated with First Class Honours. My preferred genres are funk and jazz, but having played and performed in numerous different ensembles, I am experienced in many other styles, particularly military, latin, rock, musical theatre and popular music.
Teaching Info
I believe that expertise in an extensive range of genres is more useful to the drummer than specialising in any one particular idiom. I also believe that establishment of correct technique is key, and crucial to almost every aspect of drumming. My lessons aim to ensure that you gain knowledge and experience in a wide variety of musical styles, while developing excellent technique to ensure you progress efficiently.
