Bio

I strive to create a positive learning environment to allow students of all ages and abilities to achieve their full potential. I currently work for the award winning charity Music Masters as a cello teacher and have previously been employed by organisations such as The London Cello Institute, Hackney Youth Orchestra Trust and MuseCool. I have taught children as young as 6 up to 18 as well as a number of adults.

I studied under world class pedagog and performer David Cohen at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music as a scholar and silver medal winner. I have performed at venues such as Wigmore Hall and Cadogan Hall as a solo, chamber and orchestral musician and use my extensive performance experience to influence my teaching.

I am a passionate educator who believes that to bring music to individual’s lives is to bring joy into their lives.

Teaching Info

I tailor each lesson to match each student and their unique needs. I am experienced in the Suzuki and Kodaly teaching methods and have good knowledge of ABRSM Grade Exam requirements – my current student pass rate is 100%.

I make sure all my lessons include a warm up and warm down to encourage focus and reflection. I therefore recommend lessons to be 60 mins long or 45 mins for very young children.
