Bio
Hello! My name is Amit, and I am a composer/conductor currently studying at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. My music covers a broad range of genres and styles, from impressionism to 21st century modernism, enabling me to effectively help students write the music that they want to write.
I have been on the Apprentice Scheme as part of ORA Singers’ Young Composer competition in 2022, and have had my music from the Sound and Music Summer School published in a British Music Collection article. I’ve also had music featured in a national radio mix in 2023, and in February 2024, was given the opportunity to write for the BBC Singers.
Teaching Info
I’m very collaborative in my approach to teaching, allowing students to take the lead in deciding how to use the time. My composition lessons can look at exploring new genres of music, supporting students with their own works, or a mix and match of both!
