Bio
Started piano at the age of three, Anson Lam is passionate about all things music related. As an aspiring classical musician, he has won multiple awards in prestigious piano competitions in Hong Kong, including a 1st place in the Grade 8 Piano Solo event at the 69th Hong Kong Schools Music Festival at the tender age of 12. He is also a prize-winner at numerous editions of the Hong Kong Children and Youth Piano Competition amongst many others. Lam has obtained a distinction in piano performance in the Licentiate of the Trinity College of Music in 2022.
Currently studying under Professor Ilya Kondratiev at the Royal College of Music (#1 music conservatoire in QS 2023), he has played for renowned pianists such as Dina Parakhina, Eleanor Wong, Dr. Rong Qin and Colleen Lee. He enjoys works particularly by Schubert, Mozart and Shostakovich.
Lam graduated from Diocesan Boys’ School in 2023 as the top scorer of the IB Diploma. He has actively engaged in other musical ventures such as piano accompaniment for school choirs, church pianist, assembly pianist, band keyboardist, music researcher and composer of film and Cantopop music.
