I’m an experienced singing, acting and music teacher, and a professional performer. I’m based in London, and teach both privately and also in schools.
I trained at RADA and The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, and have been working as an actor, singer and performer professionally for 10 years. I love teaching students everything that I learn and continue to learn in my performing life, and have a real passion to help students develop their skills and talent.
I believe in creating personalised lessons for students based on their personal and professional goals; from young performers auditioning for conservatoires, to beginners just wanting to try something new for fun.
In singing lessons; I focus on developing healthy, reliable singing technique. I like to challenge students to sing across a range of styles and genres, and incorporate theory into lessons, as I believe in helping students to feel confident about themselves as singers, as well as musicians. I believe that singing lessons should be fun, and that students learn best when they feel able to develop their voices without fear of making mistakes.
In piano lessons, I focus on teaching students good technique that help to feel they a good command of the piano, and again teach across musical styles to develop their musicality and skill.
I have a full enhanced DBS certificate, and experience in teaching in schools.
"Extremely knowledgeable and passionate vocal coach. I've been going to lessons for 3 months now and can see dramatic improvements in my pitch, vocal quality, and performance confidence. Emily is bubbly and inviting, immediately making you feel comfortable in the room from Day 1. She is professional and clearly committed to developing her students- tailoring each individual lesson to her student's needs."
"Emily is a brilliant singing teacher. I have had a number of coaches before her and can easily say that I've seen the most progress in my singing under her guidance. As well as rich knowledge and talent for vocal coaching, she is also incredibly kind, supportive and funny."
