Bio

I am an experienced piano teacher offering supportive, engaging lessons for children and adults of all abilities. Alongside teaching privately, I have many years of experience working with young people and supporting different learning styles. I have an up to date enhanced DBS.

My approach is patient and encouraging, helping students build confidence as well as musical skill. I enjoy helping beginners discover the piano for the first time and supporting more experienced students as they develop technique, expression and musical understanding.

Lessons can be tailored to individual goals, whether that is learning for enjoyment, preparing for exams, or developing broader musicianship.

Teaching Info

Lessons are structured but relaxed, with a focus on building confidence and enjoyment in music. Students can expect a mix of practical playing, technique, music reading, rhythm work and listening skills.

I adapt lessons to suit each student’s pace and learning style. For younger learners this may include activities to support musical understanding, while older students may focus more on repertoire, technique and musical interpretation.

Students may choose to work towards graded exams if they wish, or simply learn pieces they enjoy. My aim is to help each student develop a solid musical foundation while keeping lessons motivating and enjoyable.
