  • Suitability: Piano, age 5 and upwards; all woodwind from 9. All ages and standards are very welcome - it’s never too late to start an instrument!

Bio

I have been teaching since 1988, in private practice and as a peripatetic in primary and high schools.
I love bringing out the best in my pupils, whether that’s playing for pleasure or working for exams. I teach in a warm and engaging way so that pupils feel relaxed and at ease.
There is no upper age limit. My oldest pupil so far has been 94!

Teaching Info

Woodwind students need to have their own instrument (some music shops will hire one out for a few months). Piano students need a keyboard or piano at home in order to practice.

I use ABRSM exams and have an excellent pass rate. However, there is no expectation to take exams if the student prefers.
