Bio

The viola has always been a very large and important part of Lara’s life, which she has only ever pursued out of love for the instrument. She has played in many orchestras/groups including pit-orchestras for musicals and the Strasbourg Chamber Orchestra, as well as playing a concerto with the London Mozart Players when she was 17. She graduated in June 2021 from the University of Leeds with first class honours after spending a year abroad at the Strasbourg Conservatoire (Académie Supérieur de musique), which greatly improved her proficiency in French. Lara also speaks fluent german and is fully DBS checked.

Teaching Info

Lara’s priority in her teaching is that her students enjoy learning their instrument above all else! Lessons are something she looks forward to and strives to create a friendly and informal atmosphere. She is a strong advocate of the viola and believes that more people should be able to experience it’s rich sonorous quality. If required she can prepare students for ABRSM exams.
