Bio
I have been teaching for over 10 years, I teach for enjoyment as well as exam preparation. I have 100% ABRSM pass rate currently. I have played a musical instrument of some description since I was 7 years old.
I studied music at Colchester Institute taking trombone lessons from Michael Clack (Chalk Farm Band) and Richard Brown (BBC Philharmonic). Baritone lessons from George Reynolds (London Symphony Orchestra).
I have played in brass band since I was 9 years old, I started in my local town band. I have played for unregistered bands as well as higher section bands competing at national level contests.
As well as brass bands I also play for local orchestras when required and choral societies.
Teaching Info
What I teach will depend on what and how a student learns. I am happy to teach with the expected end result being good exams results, I have 100% pass rate. Some students wish to focus more on technique and this can be accommodated. Once I have established with a student what there aims are and the desired end result then lessons plans will be put together and where appropriate step by step goals. Lessons are interesting and engaging, I am passionate about music and want to pass this on to my students.
I offer in person lessons or online.
