Drum teacher and performer and recording artist with with an emphasis on Jazz and Fusion.
He has over 30 years teaching experience, privately, workshops, schools and colleges.

Teaching Info

Phil will teach you..
In depth technique – The rudiments and how to use them. Many methods and excersises to help you develop your technique and timekeeping.
Independence – 2, 3, 4 way independence and polyrhythms. How to play and approach the many musical styles and related drum beats.
Improvisation – Make up your own grooves and rhythms, variations, fills and solos.
Reading – All excersises are written from original material and the drum classics (Ted Reed, Jim Chapin, Charlie Wilcoxon, Gary Chaffee’s “Patterns” etc).
Exam boards RSL, Trinity and MTB at all levels.

Beginners – will have you quickly up and running playing beats and fills.
