Bio
As a queer, neurodivergent person, I don’t often see people like me teaching music, and I think I would have benefited from a teacher when I was younger who was sympathetic to the specific barriers I was facing. I survived formal music education but many people like me did not, and their passion and talent for music was left behind and forgotten.
My goal is to be the kind of teacher I needed when I was learning music. My aim is to always lead with kindness, grace and empathy, and make learning music fun, inspiring, and collaborative.
I graduated from a music bachelor’s degree in 2015 and this year (2026) I am going back to university for my master’s degree in Ethnomusicology. I have been teaching music and leading ensembles and choirs for over 15 years. I am passionate and committed to making music accessible for everyone, and I believe that anyone can learn music.
Teaching Info
Whether you’re a complete beginner or have some prior experience, I offer personalised lessons to help you re-discover the joy of music in a relaxed and encouraging environment.
I offer in-person 45-minute music lessons for adult beginners and returners on piano, ukulele, or recorder, taught in a flexible, pressure-free way and always at your pace. In particular my teaching is intentionally neurodiverse-affirming, and offers a judgement-free alternative to formal music education.
What I Offer:
– Piano, Recorder and Ukulele Lessons tailored to your pace and learning style
– Fun & Flexible Lessons that fit your schedule and musical goals
– Private One-on-One Sessions for focused, hands-on learning
– Affordable Rates and flexible options for those with financial challenges

Practice at home is encouraged but never required, lessons are goal-driven and shaped around what you enjoy and want from music. I always aim to find what you’re passionate about and follow that wherever it goes, at whatever pace you’re comfortable with.
