Bio

Hello, I’m Tiggy and I’m a professional oboist, currently working in the UK Armed Forces but have continued to teach alongside this whilst being based in London. I have now moved to the Portsmouth area and am seeking to continue teaching down here.

I studied Music and Italian at the University of Birmingham before I studied for my Masters  in Performance and Pedagogy at the Birmingham Conservatoire. I learned to teach alongside members of Birmingham Music Hub and went on to teach keyboard and oboe for Worcestershire Youth Music and then Hampshire Music Services.

I worked at King’s School, Bruton for 4 years as a Music Assistant, helping accompanying students for exams and helping with music theory and aural lessons.

I am happy to come to students houses to teach them.

Teaching Info

Lessons will be adapted to suit each individual. I use the ABRSM syllabus as a guide but will only ever enter students for exams if that is something they would like to do.
